The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev Dr Patrick Fung Ho Lau as the 8th principal of Singapore Bible College with effect from 1 July 2026 for a 5-year term, when the current principal, Rev Dr Clement Chia Mook Soo, steps down after serving 2 five-year terms as the 7th principal. With deep gratitude, the Board of Directors wishes to thank Rev Dr Chia for his decade of faithful leadership as the 7th Principal of SBC. His wisdom, integrity, and unwavering commitment have shaped generations. He led with vision and compassion, leaving a legacy of excellence and grace. As he steps down in June 2026, may he be richly blessed and his work as principal be rewarded by God.
董事会欣然宣布委任馮浩鎏牧师/博士，从2026年7月1日起出任新加坡神学院第八任院长，任期五年。现任院长谢木水牧师/博士在担任第七任院长两个五年任期后卸任。
董事会衷心感谢谢牧师/博士十年来担任新加坡神学院第七任院长的忠诚领导。他的智慧、正直和坚定不移的奉献精神影响了一代又一代人。他以远见卓识和仁爱之心领导学院，留下了卓越与优雅的宝贵遗产。愿他于2026年6月卸任之际，蒙受丰盛的祝福，并因其作为院长的辛勤付出而获得上帝的赏赐。
Born in Hong Kong in 1959, Rev Dr Fung was trained as a medical doctor in Australia, graduating in 1983.Yet it was during those formative university years that he encountered the life-changing grace of Christ—a moment that reshaped his calling.He pursued theological studies at the China Graduate School of Theology and Fuller Theological Seminary, preparing for a life of ministry. Rev Dr Fung also obtained a PhD in Chinese Church History.In 1989, he and his wife, Dr Jennie Cheng, responded to God’s call by joining OMF International (formerly China Inland Missions). Sent by their home church, they began serving in a Muslim-majority region of South Asia. Together, they are blessed with two children—a daughter and a son.
In December 2005, Rev Dr Fung became the first Asian to lead OMF International in its 140-year history, stepping into the role of General Director. Over the next 18 years, he shepherded and oversaw a team of more than 1,400 missionaries across different Asian nations, guiding efforts to share the gospel, establish churches, and foster local church-planting movements. After concluding his tenure, he now serves as OMF International’s Global Ambassador.He is currently also serving as the Chairman of the International Board of the Chinese Coordinating Centre of World Evangelisation (CCCOWE). He has been a board director on the SBC Board of Directors since 2010.
冯牧师/博士1959年出生于香港,曾在澳大利亚接受医学培训, 并于1983年毕业。在大学期间, 他经历基督改变生命的恩典; 这一刻重塑了他的使命。他先后在中国神学研究院和富勒神学院攻读神学, 为事奉做准备。冯牧师/博士还获得了中国教会历史学博士学位。
1989年, 他与妻子郑珍妮医生回应上帝的呼召, 加入海外基督使团 (前中国内地会)。他们接受教会差派, 前往南亚一个穆斯林占多数的地区服事。他们育有一女一子。
2005年12月, 冯牧师/博士成为海外基督使团140年历史上首位亚洲籍的国际总主任。在接下来的18年中, 他带领并监督一支遍布亚洲各国、超过1400名宣教士的团队, 指导福音传播、教会建立和本地植堂运动。卸任国际总主任后, 他担任海外基督使团国际事工特使。
