Items for NOVEMBER 2025 – YCCL and LCS
Thank you all for your prayers. Let us continue to be one in prayer for our congregations as well as for the LCS, under which we are one church.
Please cover YCCL and LCS in the Prayers of the Church, as well as in your Prayer Meetings and small group meetings. Do encourage your members to pray for them during their family or personal prayer times.
Pastors have the option to cover the items summarily, in a single Sunday or over any number of Sundays for the month. Pastors should also feel free to contact each other for more details and clarifications regarding the items listed, so as to pray with better understanding.

Prayer pointers for YCCL
English Section
- Pray for the NextGen Youth Ministry’s Café Lite outreach on 13 December from 12 to 5 pm. Ask God to empower and bestow the planning committee with His wisdom, favour and teamwork, so they can prayerfully inspire and motivate the youths to invite their pre-believing friends and family members to the outreach. Also pray for the newly appointed NextGen Care Group Leader (CGL) Interns, Viki, Anselm, Johan and Asriel, as they start co-leading in their Care Group (CGs) wef mid-August 2025. Also uphold the Young Adults’ Ministry as 1 group is preparing to multiply into 2 among their 3 CGs. Pray for the continual equipping of all adult CGLs through monthly Zoom meetings on leading Bible studies from the Gospel of Mark with Rev Dr William Chang and Preacher Allan Ng.
- Uphold the year-end outreaches in prayer, namely, Christmas outreaches cum gathering at CG level and post-closure Lutheran Child Care Centre (LCCC) Christmas party with game stalls on 19 December. Pray for the “Joyful Moments” initiative in the pipeline for regular home visits, tuition and face to face gathering every monthly last Saturday to alumni children and parents, that they continue to be reached for the gospel. Also intercede for ongoing community outreaches with St Luke’s Eldercare (SLEC), including weekly befriending visits to the Yishun residents, ‘Happy Meal’ every monthly last Monday in YCCL to invite SLEC and other seniors for food, songs, games and hearing the gospel. Pray for the BB Sharity Gift Box in mid-December that more BB Boys from the 19th Company at Yishun Town Secondary School will hear and embrace the gospel, as they participate in their annual community project.
- Pray for our Golden Moments’ Ministry (GMM) that the seniors in YCCL will continue to have their faith and bonds strengthened through their monthly last Wednesday gatherings, and several ongoing outreach initiatives like performing ukelele and songs to SLEC, etc. Lift up the Dorcas ministry to the Lord as the ladies resume their 1st to 3rd Wednesdays’ gathering early next year. Help all of them to continually grow in their faith through Word and prayer and equip them to disciple the next generation. Finally, uphold the new part-time Choir Director, Angela Tang, as she regularly equips the YCCL choir for special events.
Chinese Section
- Pray for Rev Lu and Mrs. Lu, who have been sent to partner with Preacher Chew at YCCL-C since September. We warmly welcome Rev. and Mrs. Lu among us and pray that their ministry will be a blessing to many.
- Pray for the church’s evangelism ministry. May God continue to strengthen us and rekindle in our hearts a deep love for lost souls. Also pray for the progress of Alpha Course (2) — ask God to raise up brothers and sisters to serve faithfully in different roles, and to share joyfully the stories of how God has worked in their lives.
- Pray for the upcoming Advent season and the series of church activities ahead. May the Lord prepare our hearts and guide every ministry to point toward the coming of Christ, so that the church may await our Saviour with hope and joy. As we enter a new year in the church calendar, pray that brothers and sisters will faithfully use the gifts God has given them to serve both the church and the community.
Dialect Section
- Dialect Outreach
We have more than 6 members from the Dialect team involved in the St. Luke’s Eldercare befriending program, which reaches out to the elderly in our neighborhood. This initiative has helped bring some elderly individuals to our Sunday services. Please pray that this ministry will grow and lead more people to Christ.
- Leadership
We thank God for the volunteers who assist us in serving the elderly. We have over 10 leaders who have been with us from the beginning and served for more than 20 years. God has added more individuals to our team, including interpreters, worship leaders, and song leaders. We want to express our gratitude for their dedicated service, as Rev. David Ng is currently the only staff member for the Dialect service. Continue to pray for all of them as they partner with one another in ministry.
- 25th Anniversary
Pray for next year’s celebration of our 25th Anniversary, as we plan to hold a conference focused on elderly care and Hokkien ministries.

- 为 NextGen 青年事工于 12 月 13 日中午 12 点至下午 5 点举办的 “Café Lite” 外展祷告。求神以祂的智慧、恩宠与合一加力量给筹委会，使他们在祷告中能激励、推动青年人邀请尚未信主的亲友参加外展。也为新委任的 NextGen 关怀小组组长（CGL）实习生 Viki、Anselm、Johan、Asriel 祷告，他们将自 2025 年 8 月中旬起与各自关怀小组（CG）一同带领。此外，也把青年成人事工交托主，目前 3 个关怀小组中有 1 个正预备倍增为 2 个小组。求主借着每月的 Zoom 会议，不断装备所有成人 CGL——由张牧师博士与吴传道带领，训练如何从《马可福音》带领查经。
- 为年终外展代祷：包括各关怀小组层面的圣诞外展与团契聚会，以及路德会幼儿护理中心（LCCC）停办后的圣诞同乐会（12 月 19 日，设有游戏摊位）。也为正在筹划中的 “喜乐时光”（Joyful Moments）计划祷告，愿透过定期家访、补习与每月最后一个星期六的面对面聚会，持续关怀与福音触及校友孩童与家长。并为与圣路加乐龄关怀（SLEC）的持续社区外展代求，包括每周到义顺居民家的关怀探访，以及在我们教会每月最后一个星期一举行的 “快乐餐”（Happy Meal），邀请 SLEC 与其他乐龄人士来享用餐饮、诗歌、游戏并聆听福音。也为 12 月中旬的男童军慈善礼盒（BB Sharity Gift Box）祷告，求主使就读于义顺市镇中学的第 19 分队更多 BB 团员在参与年度社区计划时能听见并接受福音。
- 为 “黄金时刻事工”（GMM）祷告，愿我们教会的长者们借着每月最后一个星期三的聚会，以及持续进行的多项外展（如到 SLEC 演奏尤克里里与献唱等），信心与彼此之间的连结不断得以坚固。也把多加（Dorcas）事工交托主，愿姐妹们于明年初恢复每月第 1 至第 3 个星期三的聚会；求主借着话语与祷告使她们在信仰上持续成长，并装备她们去门训下一代。最后，为新任兼职诗班指挥安琪（Angela）姐妹祷告，愿主使用她，持续装备我们教会诗班预备各项特别事工。

1. 为卢牧师及师母从9月开始就差派到义顺堂会协助周传道祷告；我们欢迎卢牧师及师母在我们当中，也期盼他们的服侍可以祝福更多的人。
2. 为堂会传福音的事工祷告；恳求神继续加添能力，并眺望弟兄姐妹对爱人灵魂的心。为启发第二期进展祷告；恳求神预备更多的弟兄姐妹参与各项服侍的岗位，积极述说神在我们生命中的故事。
3. 为即将进入将临期，教会一系列的活动祷告。求主亲自预备我们的心，带领每一项事工都能指向基督的降临，使教会在盼望与喜乐中迎接救主的到来。也为教会年历进入新的一年，鼓励弟兄姐妹按照所赋予的恩赐，服侍教会与社区。
方言部
1. 方言外展
我们有超过 6 位方言团队成员参与圣路加乐龄关怀中心（SLEC）的结伴关怀计划，向邻里中的长者伸出关怀。此举已帮助一些长者来到我们的主日礼拜。请为这项事工祷告，求主使其成长，并带领更多人归向基督。
2. 带领团队
感谢神赐下协助我们服事长者的义工。同工中有 10 多位领袖自起初与我们同行，服事已逾 20 年。神也继续把人加给我们，包括传译、敬拜带领与诗歌带领等同工。由于目前方言聚会仅有黄牧师一位在职同工，我们特别为他们的忠心服事献上感恩。也请继续为众同工祷告，使他们在事工上彼此配搭、同心合一。
3. 二十五周年纪念
请为明年我们二十五周年庆典祷告；我们计划举办一场以乐龄关怀与福建话事工为主题的会议。
LCS – Prayer Pointers
Theme for 2026: Together, Grow Deeper
“From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

- Unity to Build Together. Pray that:
- The Lord will unite our hearts to serve Him wholeheartedly, as the theme encourages us to do.
- The Lord will give us a deep hunger to pursue Christ daily and to live as faithful witnesses for Him.
- The Lord will grant us His vision so that we may move forward together in one accord.
- Harvesting. Pray that:
- Our various congregations will actively sow the seeds of the Gospel in the community, especially during November and December 2025.
- The Lord will continue to stir our hearts to reach the lost as we enter the new year.
- More members will be equipped in disciple-making and in helping new believers grow in their faith.
- Ministry. Pray that:
- The Lord will raise up youths and young adults to lead the youth ministry.
- The Lord will call and prepare young adults to serve in pastoral ministry.
- The Lord will bless our LCS Education and Equipping Sessions in 2026.
