My name is Felix Tan, and I am the new Operations Manager for the International Lutheran Seafarers’ Mission (ILSM). I was a volunteer photographer for the ILSM Christmas party in Dec 2024 as well as for the Seafarers Carnival in June 2025.

I used to be a hardware Customer Engineer in HP, a 3rd level support for Lexmark, an Allied Educator (Teaching & Learning) in MOE, an ICT Manager in MOE, and then a Customer Success Manager in NCS, before I took on this current role.

I had been looking for a job since January 2025,  after going for interviews, then nothing.  I was feeling very disheartened by June.

Then Gabriel Yuen, our ILSM Treasurer, called me to help for the Seafarers’ Carnival and I agreed to help as I had helped for the Christmas party at QLC in December 2025.

Eventually Gabriel called again and asked if I was keen for this role.  I immediately said “yes” to the offer.  I have to thank God for answering my prayers regarding my job search.

I am a Roman Catholic, from St Bernadette Church but I go to St Teresa Church now.

My office is within the LCS office in Jurong Christian Church on the 4th floor. If you are around, please drop by to say hello.

My hobbies are photography and cycling. When I take a break from work, I cycle every Tuesday and Friday. Sometimes on a Sunday too.
