Items for AUGUST 2025 – JCC and LCS
Thank you all for your prayers. Let us continue to be one in prayer for our congregations as well as for the LCS, under which we are one church.
Please cover JCC and LCS in the Prayers of the Church, as well as in your Prayer Meetings and small group meetings. Do encourage your members to pray for them during their family or personal prayer times.
Pastors have the option to cover the items summarily, in a single Sunday or over any number of Sundays for the month. Pastors should also feel free to contact each other for more details and clarifications regarding the items listed, so as to pray with better understanding.

Prayer pointers for JCC
Prayer Focus
JCC leadership discerns that changes are happening: Rev Anthony was elected LCS Bishop, Administrator Chris resigned, and Deacon Nathan will soon leave us and return to his home town Medan. New staff are recruited to take over their roles.
With that in mind and in this new season:
1. We pray that each and every one of our English Section brothers and sisters — no matter their age, background, or ministry involvement — will ask:
– What is my role in the body of Christ in this season?
– What gifts has the Lord entrusted to me?
– How can I serve in His Kingdom, His Church — not later, but now?
2. Pray that brothers and sisters will not simply watch as changes and new developments unfold, but participate actively and prayerfully in what God is doing, and build up the Church together, not in our own strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit.
English Section
1. New Staff Roles
Let us give thanks for the new staff whom God is bringing into our midst:
- Rev. Ximi, as he takes on the role of Pastor-in-Charge
- Sister Joanna, from August as Part-Time Office Administrator
- Sister Esther, as Part time Ministry Staff (Admin & Operations for Dialect Ministry)
- Sister De Li, as Part time Ministry Staff (Pastoral Care for Dialect Ministry)
Pray that as each of them steps into their new roles, the Holy Spirit will fill them with God’s presence, wisdom, strength and grace. May the Lord Himself establish the work of their hands, and bless their service so that it may bear lasting fruit for His kingdom and glory.
2. Ministry Leadership
Pray that each ministry leader will seek the Lord’s will and discern His direction for this new season. May they embrace new initiatives with faith and courage, that each ministry may grow and flourish under God’s guidance.
3. Personal Discernment
Lift up each English Section (ES) member, that they may hear and respond to God’s call to serve. May they be attentive to the Holy Spirit’s prompting and step forward with joyful obedience.
4. Members’ Involvement
Pray that every brother and sister in Christ will discover the unique spiritual gifts God has entrusted to them. May each one discern their roles in this new season, and be inspired to use their gifts faithfully to build up the church.
5. Evangelism and Outreach
Pray that the Lord will open new doors for sharing the Gospel. May He draw new believers into our community, and grant us boldness, wisdom and compassion as we reach out.
6. Unity and Love
Pray that God will strengthen the bonds of love within our church family. May we grow in unity, support one another in grace and reflect Christ’s love in all our relationships.
Chinese Section
- Preacher Admond
Pray for Preacher Admond in the Chinese section’s recently appointed new pastoral leadership. Pray that:
– God will grant him health, wisdom, and spiritual discernment in this new role and calling,
– he may continue to lead, guide, and teach with love for the flock that God has entrusted to him,
– God will grant him the ability to accomplish the demands of the ordination process.
- 3-year Work-plan
Give thanks to God that the pastoral team has completed a work plan retreat and crafted a three-year plan for the church. The church’s ministry structure and leadership roles will change in some ways. Pray that:
– the Lord will give us humble and teachable hearts to take on the changes,
– the church will also benefit from the changes and shine the true light of Jesus.
- Youth and Young Adult
Pray for the spiritual leadership of the church’s youth and young adults. Pray that:
– we may find & call a suitable pastoral staff to shepherd them in times of transition.
– the adults & the elderly may exemplify Christ’s likeness to them as life impacts life.
– they may find a sense of belonging in this church family, learning to serve one another while they experience the love of Christ in this church body.
- Unity with commitment to the Great Commission
Pray that the church may live up to and run like an end-time church, not dwelling in complacency and comfort.
Pray that the pastoral team may be united to lead all ministries with a commitment to the Great Commission.
Pray that while drawing more people to church, we can transform lives too.
- Outreach in August and September
Pray for JCC’s involvement in the 23/8 music evangelistic meeting with Amazing Grace Worship. Pray that:
– the Lord may grant those involved in serving health, a willingness to serve,
and the ability to reach out to the pre-believers who come.
– the Holy Spirit may move hearts to receive the gospel.
On the 21/9, JCC has invited the Taiwan Passing On Mission to jointly hold a Mid-Autumn Festival music evangelistic meeting titled “月来月幸福”. Japanese singers Yuri Mori and Lin Meiman (the Queen of Harmony) will bring moving songs and testimonies. Pray that:
– JCC will be filled with 400~500 attendees,
– brothers and sisters will actively get people to the meeting,
– the Holy Spirit will work in people’s hearts, that they will respond to the
gospel.

英文部
裕廊基督教会领导层观察最近所发生的几项变化：罗牧师当选为 会督，洪丽霞行政干事辞职，林金有会吏即将离开返回他的家乡棉兰。正在招募接替他们的新同工。
考虑到这一点，在这个新的时期，我们祷告每一位弟兄姐妹——无论年龄、背景或事工参与程度如何——都会问自己：
• 在这个时期，我在基督的身体里扮演什么角色？
• 主托付了我什么恩赐？
• 我如何在祂的国度、祂的教会中服侍——不是以后，而是现在？
祷告弟兄姐妹们不要只是旁观变化和新发展的展开，而是积极地、虔诚地参与神正在做的事工，并一同建造教会，不是靠我们自己的力量，而是靠着圣灵的能力。
1. 新员工角色
让我们感谢上帝带入我们中间的新员工：
– 希米牧师担任英文部主管牧师
– Joanna姐妹将于八月加入我们，担任兼职办公室行政人员
– Esther姐妹，加入作为部委职福建堂行政和事工干事
– 得莉姐妹，为福建堂教牧关怀干事
祷告当他们每个人进入新的角色时，圣灵会用神的同在、智慧、力量和恩典充满他们。愿主亲自建立他们手中的工作，并祝福他们的服务，以便为祂的国度和荣耀结出持久的果子。
2. 部门领导
祈求每位事工领袖都能寻求主的旨意，并辨别他在这个新季节的方向。愿他们怀着信心和勇气接受新的倡议，使每个事工都能在上帝的指导下成长和繁荣。
3. 个人辨别力 （discernment）
举起每一位英语部成员，让他们能够听到并回应上帝服务的呼召。愿他们留意圣灵的提示，并喜乐地顺服向前迈进。
4. 会员的参与
祈求基督里的每一位弟兄姐妹都能发现上帝托付给他们的独特属灵恩赐。愿每个人在这个新的季节里认清自己的角色，并受到启发，忠实地运用自己的恩赐来建立教会。
5. 传福音与外展
祈求主开启新的福音之门。愿祂吸引新信徒加入我们的群体，并在我们传福音时赐予我们勇气、智慧和怜悯。
6. 合一与爱
祈求上帝坚固我们教会大家庭中彼此相亲相爱。愿我们在合一中成长，在恩典中互相扶持，并在我们所有的关系中彰显基督的爱。
华文部
- 陈健成传道
为华文部新接任牧者陈健成传道祷告。求主赐予他健康、智慧和属灵的洞察力，让他在新的岗位和呼召中继续带领、引导和教导，并爱护神所托付给他的羊群。也赋予他能完成安立要求的能力。
- 3 年事工计划
感谢神，教牧团刚刚完成了事工计划退修会，并为教会制定了三年计划。教会的事工架构和领导角色将有所改变。祷告求主赐下谦卑、受教的心来接受这些改变。教会也将从这些改变中受益，并彰显耶稣的真光。
- 青年和青成事工
为教会青少年的属灵领袖祷告。在这有改变的时期愿主预备合适的人选来牧养他们。更重要的是，愿成年和乐龄会友能活出基督的样式当他们的榜样。生命影响生命。此外，愿他们在这个教会大家庭中找到归属感，学习彼此服侍，并在教会中体验基督的爱。
- 合一委身于大使命
愿教会活出像末世教会的样式。不沉溺于自满和安逸。愿教牧团合一，带领所有事工，委身于大使命。在吸引更多人归向教会的同时，也能改变生命。为启发课程的完美结束和九月开办的洗礼课。
- 八和九月的音乐布道会
为裕廊基督教会参与8月23日与基恩敬拜联合举办的音乐布道会祷告。求主赐予参与服侍的人健康、有服侍的心，并有能力接触到未信者。求圣灵感动人心，使他们接受福音。此外，裕廊基督教会将于9月21日邀请台湾传神关怀传播协会（Passing On Mission）联合举办中秋音乐布道会，主题为“月来月幸福”。由日本歌手森佑理和“和音天后”林美满将带来动人的歌曲和见证。我们期盼能有400至500人参加，弟兄姐妹们也能积极带领人来参加。愿圣灵在人心中动工，使他们回应福音。
Prayer Pointers: LCS
1. Initiative N218 – Rebuilding
Scripture: “I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me. They replied, ‘Let us start rebuilding.’ So they began this good work.”
— Nehemiah 2:18
a. Willing Hearts to Build
Pray for God to stir the hearts of everyone in our community to rise up and build the ministries He has entrusted to us at LCS. Pray that each member may have a willing and obedient heart to serve effectively and joyfully.
b. Unity in All Congregations
Pray for unity of heart and spirit across all congregations. Pray for a collective understanding of God’s agenda and a shared desire to pursue His purposes with urgency and faithfulness—especially in light of Christ’s return.
2. Empowering of People and Ministry for 2025 and 2026
Focus for 2025:
We seek the empowerment of the Lord in two key areas as we move forward together in faith and purpose.
a. Prayer Life Across LCS Congregations
i. Growth in Prayer Among Leaders and Congregations
– Pray that both leaders and members will deepen their prayer lives through engagement in church prayer meetings, cell group prayers, individual devotions, etc.
– A heart cultivated to seek God’s face and presence.
ii. Dependency on God for Breakthroughs
– Pray for breakthroughs in personal lives and ministries.
– Pray for freedom from addictions, healing from life challenges, restoration in health, and hearts ignited with passion for God and His Kingdom.
iii. Intercession for Our Nation (60th Anniversary)
– Pray that we may be a praying church that stands in the gap for our nation.
– Pray for God’s continued protection, provision, and purpose to be fulfilled in our land.
b. Evangelistic Life
i. Active Outreach and God’s Heart for the Lost
– Pray that we would grow in our urgency and love for reaching the lost.
– Pray for a heart aligned with God’s mission to seek and save.
ii. Boldness to Step Beyond Church Walls
– Pray for courage to live out our faith in the community.
– Tangible expressions of Christ’s love through service, kindness, and intentional outreach.
3. Capturing the Vision of Growth
God is calling us to grow—not just in numbers, but in faith, capacity, and effectiveness. Growth is not about chasing statistics, but about pursuing souls. We are stewards of His vision, and He is more than able to multiply what we place in His hands.
a. Faith to Set Growth Goals Beyond Current Resources
i. Pray that our leaders be trained and inspired to set faith-driven goals despite our perceived limitations at this moment (eg. just as Jesus fed the multitudes with five loaves and two fish, can we believe God for 10,000 one day in LCS?)
ii. Pray for understanding that growth targets are not number games, rather that each number represents a life transformed by the Gospel. — “Little is much when God is in it.”
b. Growth in Leadership Skills and Ministry Effectiveness
i. Pray for our leaders to develop new skills and sharpen their hands for the work of the ministry. Pray that they may:
– Embrace digital platforms and technology to reach the masses.
– Use creative and innovative ideas to engage contemporary audiences in ways that are relevant and Spirit-led.
– Raise ministries that speak the language of today’s generation without compromising eternal truth.
4. Prayer for Upcoming Events
a. LCCS Golf Fundraising: Driving Restoration For The Hurting, on 26 Sept. 2025.
Pray for good participation and generous support. May the necessary funds be raised to sustain and grow the LCCS ministry.
b. LCCS Restorative Practice Conference on 30-31 Oct. 2025, and the Post Conference Special: Circles of life on 1 Nov.
Pray that the LCCS will be on the cutting edge of transforming lives and serving Singapore meaningfully.
c. LCS Chinese Outreach: 22-24 August. Pray for strong participation and co-operation among all LCS Chinese congregations for these events, and that many non-Christians will be invited and will hear and believe in the good news of Christ.
d. ILSM.
i. Pray for the new ILSM team as it expands with new staff and embarks on a series of roadshows to share about ILSM’s outreach and care for seafarers and fishermen.
ii. Pray for God’s enabling as they prepare for their annual Christmas gift-giving initiative, where they will be collecting unexpired and unused dried food rations to bless the communities they serve.

a）甘心建造的心
求神感动我们群体中每一个人的心，愿意兴起建造祂托付给LCS的各样事工。愿每位弟兄姐妹都拥有甘心顺服的心，能有效且喜乐地服事主。
b）各会众的合一
求神赐下众会众心灵的合一，使我们共同明白神的计划，并怀着迫切和忠心的心志，追求祂的旨意——特别在基督再来之前的时刻，更要同心努力完成使命。
2）2025年与2026年信徒与事工的赋能
2025年的重点代祷事项：
我们寻求主的赋能，在信心与使命中同行，专注于两个关键领域。
a）LCS各会众的祷告生活
i）领袖与会众在祷告上的成长
• 祈求领袖与弟兄姐妹在祷告生活上不断深化。 例如：参与教会祷告会、小组祷告与个人灵修。
• 培养一颗持续寻求神面与同在的心。
ii）在神里面寻求突破
• 为个人生命和事工带来突破。
• 从各样捆绑中得释放，在生命挑战中得医治，身体得恢复，心中被神与祂的国点燃热情。
iii）为我们的国家代祷（建国60周年）
• 教会成为为国家站在破口中的代祷者。
• 祈求神持续赐下保护、供应与带领，使祂的旨意成就在我们的国家。
b）传福音的生活方式
i）积极外展与对失丧灵魂的负担
• 愿我们对传福音的紧迫感与对失丧者的爱心持续增长。
• 拥有与神对失丧灵魂一致的心意——“寻找并拯救”。
ii）有勇气走出教会的四面墙
• 拥有活出信仰、在社区中作见证的勇气。
• 通过服务、善行与有目的的接触，将基督的爱以实际行动表现出来。
3）领受增长的异象
神正在呼召我们成长——不仅仅是在人数上，更是在信心、能力与事工果效上。
增长的核心不是追求数字，而是拯救灵魂。
我们是祂异象的管家，而当我们把手中的一切交托给祂时，祂必使之倍增。
a）凭信心设立超越现有资源的增长目标
i. 求神兴起并装备我们的领袖，当前看似有限的资源中，仍能凭信心设立增长目标。
例如：耶稣用五饼二鱼喂饱众人，我们是否能相信有一天，LCS也能服事到一万人？
ii. 增长目标不是数字游戏，而是灵魂的异象。每一个数字都代表着一条因福音而改变的生命。
——“当神参与其中，微小也能成就大事。”
b）领导力的成长与事工果效的提升
i. 为我们的领袖祷告，求神赐下新的技能和智慧，使他们在事工中更加有能力、果效倍增。具体包括：
– 拥抱数码平台与科技工具，接触更广泛的人群。
– 使用有创意与创新的方式，向当代听众传递属灵信息，使内容既贴近生活又充满圣
灵引导。
– 建立能与现今世代沟通的事工语言，同时持守永恒真理，不妥协真道。
