Rev Martin Yee Oct 31, 2024
The Lutheran Church in Singapore has a joyous celebration of the Reformation hosted by Yishun Christian Church (Lutheran) this evening Thursday 31 Oct 2024. Bishop Lu Guan Hoe in his stirring Reformation message based on Jeremiah 31:31-34 reminded LCS members of the new covenant through which the works of Christ, God has freely justified us in His grace and mercies. This should result in out flowing from our inner self, the joy and peace, and love for our neighbours. He also explicated the meaning of the Luther Rose insignia which is in line with what Jeremiah said.
As part of the celebration, a 4-generational group from YCCL presented 2 inspiring hokkien dialect songs. The LCS Sisters’ Fellowship WICAS presented a wonderful mandarin praise song. This was followed by a joyous dance by the International Filipino Fellowship from BLC. Last but not least was also a delightful dance by the Four Denomination Senior Dance Group.
It was indeed a memorable and meaningful Reformation Celebration. Thanks to YCCL for organizing it.
